The Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society (OPS) and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons (MiSEPS) are excited to present the in-person Michigan Regional Program on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at the Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

This Regional Program is geared to benefit technicians and photographers who seek to improve the patient’s experience, by gaining more knowledge for dealing with difficult situations and having a better understanding of disease. This curriculum will build a better relationship between technicians/photographers and physicians to increase quality care and efficiency in clinics around Michigan. 

The program will be in the Auditorium.

This course will cover Optical Coherence Tomography techniques with an emphasis on achieving consistent high quality diagnostic scans.

                                       Chorioretinopathy

This course will provide a practical and comprehensive review of sonographic and photographic imaging techniques and interpretation using B-scan, auto-fluorescence, fluorescein angiography and OCT exams with emphasis on optic nerve pathologies.

1:45 pm - 2:45 pm  The Diversity of Ophthalmology from an Imaging Perspective

This course will discuss various subspecialties of ophthalmology and take a closer look at the types of imaging that can be performed to highlight features/pathology of each.

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm    Retinopathy of Prematurity: Disease, Treatment and Long Term Outcomes

This course provides a comprehensive overview of Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), a leading cause of childhood blindness worldwide.

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm    Introduction to Electrophysiology

                                     Elizabeth "Libba" Affel, MS, OCT-C, FOPS

This lecture offers an introduction to ophthalmic electrophysiology, focusing on three key diagnostic tests: Electroretinography (ERG), Electrooculography (EOG), and Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP).
